Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca

For one week, the ETH Cinco de Mayo team set up in Puerto Escondido to build the first live prototype of IAldea. This is the record of that week.

WHAT WE BUILT

In seven days we developed the IAldea MVP: the community memory architecture, the natural language query system, and the first information-organization flows for communities of fewer than 500 inhabitants. All open source, all documented.

THE TEAM

Thirteen people. Developers, designers, researchers and security specialists. Some came from Mexico City, others from Puebla, others were from Puerto Escondido itself. One week together.

REFLECTION

Building in public is a form of accountability. What we did this week is what IAldea promises to do for every community: document, organize and share.

How does IAldea look in action?

This demo simulates three everyday conversations in a small community:

01 First, a resident asks how previous agreements are progressing.
02 Then a committee member closes a session and asks for a check.
03 Finally an authority builds the agenda for an assembly about to begin.

It runs about 2 minutes total. To speed up or pause, use the buttons below.

Simulation. Real use requires per-community deployment.
